1. Meta has released a free voice cloning program
With Audiobox, users can type the description of a sound or a text they want to generate speech for. This free voice cloning program can also clone a user’s voice if they make a recording and follow the steps to clone their voice.
On their website, Meta said: “Audiobox, the successor to Voicebox, is advancing generative AI for audio even further by unifying generation and editing capabilities for speech, sound effects (short, discrete sounds like a dog bark, car horn, a crack of thunder, etc.), and soundscapes, with a variety of input mechanisms to maximize controllability for each use case.
Most notably, Audiobox lets people use natural language prompts to describe a sound or type of speech they want to generate. If someone wants to generate a soundscape, for example, they can give the model a text prompt like, “A running river and birds chirping.”
2. YouTube is enabling creators to gift ten free subscriptions per month
Eligible creators will be given the opportunity every month to gift 10 of their viewers a membership free of charge. Their YouTube channel will need to have channel memberships enabled, and these memberships last for a month.
